Deep Thoughts on How Life Can Be Challenging

Life can be a tumultuous journey, filled with unexpected twists and turns that can leave us feeling disoriented, overwhelmed, and even broken. It is during these moments of adversity that life seems to have an uncanny ability to "fuck up" our plans and dreams, leaving us questioning our purpose and the very nature of existence. In the midst of chaos, however, there is a potential for growth, resilience, and self-discovery. Life's challenges often strike when we least expect them, testing our resolve and forcing us to confront our vulnerabilities. It is in these moments that we witness the fragility of our carefully constructed realities. We realize that life does not conform to our desires or adhere to our carefully crafted plans. It defies our expectations, presenting us with setbacks, heartbreaks, and disappointments that can leave us feeling shattered and lost. But perhaps it is within the chaos that the true essence of life lies. Through adversity, we are given an op...

Tired Eyes: Reflections on Fatigue and Weariness

Behind tired eyes lie stories of exhaustion, perseverance, and the weight of the world. Tired eyes convey more than just physical weariness; they reflect the burdens carried by the soul. In a world that demands constant productivity and relentless pursuit, it is no wonder that tired eyes have become a common sight. Tired eyes speak of sleepless nights spent chasing dreams, juggling responsibilities, and battling inner demons. They bear witness to the sacrifices made, the deadlines met, and the relentless march of time. Tired eyes are the silent messengers of those who have given their all, leaving traces of weariness etched upon their faces. But tired eyes are not just a sign of weakness or defeat; they also embody resilience and determination. Behind those weary eyes lies a spirit that refuses to surrender, a resolve to keep pushing forward despite the fatigue. Tired eyes reveal the depth of human strength, the ability to endure and persevere even when the road ahead seems insurm...

Trusting the Process of Manifestation: How to Attract Your Desires into Your Life

The ancient law of attraction has been around for centuries, yet only recently has it become a popular concept. The law of attraction suggests that the universe responds to our thoughts and feelings and that by focusing on positive outcomes and having faith in the universe, we can manifest our goals and dreams. This has become known as "trusting the process of manifestation." A manifestation is a powerful tool that can help us create the life we desire. However, the process of manifestation can sometimes be challenging, and we may find ourselves feeling frustrated or discouraged when our desires don't seem to be materializing. Trusting the process of manifestation is crucial if we want to achieve our goals and create the life we truly want. When we manifest, we are essentially sending out a message to the universe that we want something. This message is then translated into vibrations that attract the things we desire into our lives. However, this process is not always s...

Making Mistakes: An Opportunity to Learn and Grow

Mistakes are often seen as a sign of weakness or incompetence, and many of us are conditioned to avoid making them at all costs. However, the truth is that mistakes are an inevitable part of life, and they can actually be valuable opportunities for growth and learning. In fact, some of the greatest achievements in history have been the result of people making mistakes and learning from them. Benefits of Making Mistakes 1. Learn from the experience Making mistakes can be a powerful learning experience. When we make a mistake, we get immediate feedback that something went wrong. We can then reflect on what happened, identify what we could have done differently, and use that knowledge to make better decisions in the future. For example, Thomas Edison famously made thousands of attempts before he finally invented the light bulb. Each time he made a mistake, he learned something new about what didn't work, and he used that knowledge to refine his approach until he finally achieved succe...

A Promise

This is what I always remind myself of. Poverty is not a hindrance to being successful in life. If there is a will, there is a way. I was born to poor parents. My parents lost three sons because they did not provide enough for them. My brothers died of starvation and lack of medication. My parents decided to leave their hometown and went to Cebu City on the assumption that there were a lot of opportunities and a permanent means of living. For financial reasons, no one goes to college in my family. I thought that in Cebu City I would finally have the life that I had never had, but I was wrong. Poverty is getting worse, especially since the pandemic started. My mother became the lone provider for the family after my father got terribly ill. Life is never easy, and I started to give up, but then I remembered the experiences I have had.     The ultimate goal that I want to achieve in life is to fulfill my parents' dreams of having a house and a lot. Getting my family ou...

The Loss of my Beloved Social Worker

November 26, 2021, was the exact date that I was devastated by the passing of my beloved social worker, Ma'am Riza. With that sad news, I have been mourning the loss of a role model, friend, and mother to me in the community program she handled. I was in deep grief for a week. It pains me a lot knowing that she will never be on my side, that I will not see her again, and that no one will guide me on what path to take in the future. In the past 4 years of the attachment that I had with her, I have had so many realizations, lessons, and knowledge in life that could help me shortly. She lived a good, happy life, being committed and passionate about community service. She had had a great impact on the Cebu City community and the children of Asia, especially the children's and their families lives. It was for this reason that I was in deep grief when she died.      I have a hard time dealing with or coping with...

Most Embarrassing Moments in my Junior High School Journey

I consider my junior high school journey one of the aspects that molded me into a better version of myself. It is where I learned to be independent and see the world from a different perspective. Most importantly, it is where I learned that it is not the mistakes that determine a person's character, but how we take those mistakes and turn them into lessons rather than excuses.  Being in a special science class is not easy for an average student like me. There are certain moments when I doubt my capability, skills, and effort. The lackluster performance I had in school shows how incompetent I am, mainly because of the pressure and competition inside the classroom. Before the whole class started, my English teacher would start with a spelling test to evaluate a student's ability to spell words correctly. After three weeks of doing the spelling test and getting a lower score, I always wonder why my classmates have a higher score.   One day, I caught one of my classmates hav...
